The Three Poisons of the Mind

Toxic Cult

"One should not criticize other spiritual paths."
But what if the 'Spiritual Path' is actually nothing of the sort, but a predatory, supremacist, totalitarian, political ideology masquerading as a religion? And what if it is not only harmful to its own devotees, but also to all other followers of genuine spiritual paths - "As dangerous in a man as rabies in a dog" - to quote Churchill?   It's now time to abandon reticence and speak out about this menace. The alternative is to acquiesce to evil.

Most religions attempt to bring out the best in people, but Jihadism deliberately does the opposite. For example, Buddhism attempts to free its practitioners from 'The Three Poisons' of hatred, attachment and ignorance.

In contrast, Jihadism gains its power by enslaving its believers to those very same poisons of attachment, aversion and ignorance , and pollutes any society which it invades with the sociopathic symptoms of these poisons, such as honor killing, sexual predation, enslavement of women, suppression of the truth, terrorism, intimidation, dominance crimes etc.

The Three Poisons of the Mind are:

Poison #1 -  Attachment, including

  • Greed
  • Lust
  • Envy
  • Control freakery and domination
Note that attachment must not be confused with love (though the two are sometimes mixed). Love is a virtuous mental state in both Buddhism and Christianity.

Love is: "How can I make you happy?"

Attachment is: "How can you make me happy?"

Thus Mohammed's relationship with Aisha was attachment rather than love, because if he had truly loved the child, he would never have done what he did to her.  The ultimate illustration of the difference between love and attachment is the 'religious' practice of honor killings or 'Daughter-Slaughter'.

Poison #2 - Aversion, including

  • Hatred
  • Anger
  • Rage
  • Aggression
  • Intolerance
  • Vandalism and destruction

Poison #3 - Ignorance, including

  • Irrationalism
  • Intellectual and Philosophical Laziness
  • Deluded view of reality (essentialism, tribalism etc)
  • Concealing truth
  • Arrogance
If we check on the main features, we see that greed, plunder, lust (72 virgins and 24 catamites) and territorial expansion are major motivators, as is hatred of 'The Other'.
Ignorance is a prerequisite for Jihadism's spread, with the authority of scripture (Koran and Hadith) taking precedence over science, philosophy, commonsense and rational argument.

Jihadism also shows great attachment to itself, being self-referential and intensely memetic.

For evil to flourish...
Of course we can remain in a state of dhimmitude and refrain from criticising Jihadism for fear of being accused of Jihadophobia or being physically attacked, in which case, like some spiritual Gresham's law, the bad will drive out the good, and all beneficial spiritual paths will be wiped out.  Alternatively, we can shine the light of reason and Buddhist psychological insight on  this venomous mind virus.

Supremacism is committed to destroying all other religions, and replacing them with...

Attachment - Greed, Lust, Domination

  • Brothel in the Sky
  • Daughter-slaughter
  • Domination of Public Space
  • Eurabia - the takeover of Europe
  • Female Genital Mutilation
  • Honor/Shame culture
  • Humiliation
  • Inbreeding, cousin marriage and incest
  • Jizya - protection money
  • Pedophilia
  • Polygamy
  • Predation, Plunder and Parasitism
  • Rape as a weapon of Jihad
  • Razzia
  • Sexual perversion
  • Slavery
  • Supremacism
  • Tribalism
  • Women as property

Aversion - Hatred, Rage, Aggresion

  • Execution for Apostasy
  • Bullying and intimidation to maintain conformity
  • Contamination and Biojihad
  • Cultural Jihad
  • Destruction of Dar al-Harb
  • Persecution of Gays and Lesbians
  • Infiltration, Subversion and Sedition
  • Obsessive hatred of Kafirs (Kaffirs, Kuffars etc) -
  • Riots and threats of riots
  • Street Jihad
  • Sudden Jihad Syndrome
  • Terrorism - 'Victorious with terror'
  • Us and them - the Ummah - the Muslim 'tribe'

Ignorance and obscurantism

  • Censorship
  • Deception and Taqiyya
  • Subversion of Educational Systems
  • Lack of Inventions, Innovations and Intellectual Achievements
  • Koranic contradictions and absurdities
  • Obsessive Compulsive practices
  • Institutionliased irrationalism
  • Totalitarianism

As Buddha said:
"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.”

As Jesus said:
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them."

Successful crap
Jihadism is crap, but it's successful crap. In Europe it entitles the Jihadists to immunity from normal laws - everything from obstructing the highway to mass child-rape and incitement to murder. Moreover, it entitles the Believers to priority in social housing and welfare handouts. With such automatic entitlements, what motivation do Believers have to abandon, or even moderate, their death-cult? More Jihad gets more privileges.
Neverthess, Jihadism cannot compete on its merits in a free marketplace of ideas. It can only defeat its competitors by intimidation, thuggery, terrorism and murder.

Jihadism is ethically and spiritually retrograde, and intellectually degenerate. It has nothing to offer the world but bloodshed and anarchy.

The koran must be supported by violence

Buddha was a great teacher and avatar (Hindu terminology, possibly some equivalent term exists in Buddhism too).

His followers, both Heenayana and Mahayana; and especially Theravada Buddhists have spent lifetimes denigrating Hinduism.

Buddhism seems to be the first evangelical religion and it too wrought sufficient havoc in pursuit of converts.

Despite extolling "non-violence" to all "living beings" most Buddhists are indulgent non-vegetarians.

This is not to denigrate anyone, rather to give an alternate perspective as well.

Dear writer
I am a Muslim women, a scientist and a free thinker. I have been trying to study Buddhism because I know what it is. Buddha never said he was God nor we should see him as one.
To me he is a great philosopher with a message to the human kind.
such as Jesus and My beloved prophet
All religions are beautiful at heart. And they are ment to guide us to A God. A great power that created this universe and who we are. we are ment to find peace and share it with others.
Buddha tought me to have no ego and to cause no sufferings to others. Mohammad told me the same.
three problems with the presented Islam today:
1- Media is manipulating islam true image.
2- Power egoistic seekers are using and manipulating masses of Muslims in their own personal power game ( not jihad its just a big fat lie )
3- True teachings of our prophet has been misinterpreted or forgotten or misused.

Mohammad , Jesus and Buddha all wanted a better place for human kind yet we use their names in the fight of ego and materialistic power.
It is one Earth , One God.

Plus the list you have provided
is not truthful. You as well as many should understand that there is a huge difference between arabic culture ( Ancient mind-set before Islam ) and Islam ( born to change that mind-set and enlighten humanity)

If you think that way about Islam then you have not truly known the real Islam. But the Arabic ancient closed minded culture and the media version of Islam coupled with the manipulated masses.

Im a Muslim, I have no hate to others who worship different Gods.
And I love the teachings of Buddha and consider him a great philosopher.

I hope people read my comment so they know there are many Muslims who truly seek peace and a better Earth.

Love and Peace with no ego

I think you have too much time on your hands mate... if you're going to talk about religion you need to see it aligned with politics.. many Muslims across the globe are fighting against those whom have invaded their countries for THEIR oil or power or land.... the way you are using the point of the Prophet Mohammad marrying Aisha at a young age is actually a joke.. because the legal consent for sexual relations varies massively throughout the West.. let alone other countries.. in Portugal and Italy it is 14 but other countries Such as the UK it is 16.. so a 14 year old is committing a crime in the UK but not in Italy or Portugal. . There is also the point that people have changed a lot over the centuries and ladies matured earlier and began puberty earlier than now. In fact my mother got married when she was 16 and that was very normal and she was mature enough... so this argument is without any sound grounding.. just a ploy to make the Prophet Mohammad look bad...

I think you should look into the history of some of the countries where Muslims are fighting against the West and see their point of view... however I'm not condoning murder or terrorism... but that there is always two sides to a story... if everyone just tried to better themselves instead of using all their efforts to create hatred in others hearts.. the worldwould be a better place!!!!

@ bas
In earlier times when life expectancy was shorter it was normal for teens to marry each other. However it has never been normal for an elderly man to marry a child young enough to be his granddaughter.

As per Hindooism - Boodhism was a lie introduced by the Hindoo Gods to distract Atheists , idolators and animal sacrifices ! dindooohindoo

But they lost control of the plot ! If the Buddhists knew ......

Sample 1 - Lord Shiva is "explicitly ordered by Lord Vishnu",to promote the philosophy(i.e. Advaita Vedanta) to "fool and beguile", the Dindoo Hindoo Bindoo

svāgamaiḥ kalpitais tvaḿ ca
janān mad-vimukhān kuru
māḿ ca gopaya yena syāt
sṛṣṭir eṣottarottarā

 [Addressing Lord Siva, the Supreme Personality of Godhead said:] Please make the "general populace averse to Me" by imagining your own interpretation of the Vedas.
 Also, cover Me in such a way that people will take more interest in "advancing material civilization", just to "propagate a population bereft of spiritual knowledge". ’Padma Purana, Uttara-khanda (62.31).

Sample 2 - Lord Vishnu instructs Siva,in the "Varaha Purana",by saying:

esa moham srjamy asu yo janan mohayisyati
tvam ca rudra maha-baho moha-sastrani karaya

 O mighty-armed Siva, please "write books filled with lies", and thus bewilder the people.

atathyani vitathyani darsayasva maha-bhuja
prakasam kuru catmanam aprakasam ca mam kuru

 O mighty-armed one, please "preach a collection of lies". Place yourself in the forefront, and conceal Me.

Sample 3 - Shiva tells his "wife Parvati",as under

mayavadam asac-chastram pracchannah baudham ucyate
mayaiva kalpitam devi kalau brahmana-rupina

 O Goddess, in the age of Kali I shall "descend in the form of a brahmana" to spread this "Mayavada philosophy", which is actually "covered Buddhism". (Padma Purana)
